Please use appropriate language or you will be censored by the webmaster. This website is also a place in which parents can roam. Parents are allowed to see what has been posted but are unable to change anything on the site. There is a place in which the parents can go to post their own messages to the youth, the youth leaders, and even the Youth and Young Adult Director. Young Adults: If you’re a post high school grad, single, married, in your 20’s and 30-somethings…then this group is for you! The statistics are staggering when it comes to the level of activeness among young people in a church and in their own faith journey. When it comes to young adults…we are considered the ‘lost’ generation. Some of us were even of the ‘do as I say, not as I do’ generation too…regardless of where you were, the question becomes…where are you now and why? As I mentioned above, my name is Jeff Vance and I’m 27 years old and I fit among this age bracket. My past isn’t a pretty one -- my biological father was an alcoholic, a spouse and child abuser. We all have a story to tell, but has the past determined your future or has it helped shape you? Can you see God’s blessings in your life now? Can you see Him throughout your walk? Young Adult Bible Study: Our invitation as a church is to come and be fed -- so feed that curiosity about God and join us on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. at 2840 Jameson N., Apt. 9. We will be using Rick Warren’s book: "Better Together-40 Days of Community". RSVP by contacting Jeff. The Gathering is another Young Adult program which is more like "Youth Group" used to be for you only now for Young Adults. The meeting is from 7 p.m. until whenever. Bring a friend! Even if you haven’t set foot in a church for a while, know that this isn’t your typical church -- it’s a progressive church that wants you to become a part of it’s extended family. Current Program: Bible Study Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m. at Jeff's (2840 Jameson N. #9) The Gathering, 7:00 p.m. We will now be meeting every Friday at Scooters/Brown Baggers near 84th and Van Dorn at 7pm for faith formation So join us and be fed...and remember, you may come hungry for food…but come hungry for God. Following the lesson the group may venture to another location for fun and more fellowship. Come see where ‘The Gathering’ can take you. www.gatheringlincoln.org Young Adult Mission Trip We will be going to Camp Calvin Crest near Fremont, NE from June 5th-8th to do various jobs to help prep the camp site for the camping season.
